SITREP:
Bomber Escort:

U.S. Fighters are to escort 3 bomber groups to Tonopah.

Each bomber group is led by a special "Black OPS AWACS" containing specialized and supar sekrat bobbles and widgets which when combined together, and mixed with a bit of F99th mojo - creates a jamming field which disables all russian radar systems in the area.

Use your F10 Coms menu to activate each bomber group at Nellis.

RED TASKING:
1. STOP INCOMING BOMBERS AND THEIR ESCORTS! - KILL ALL 3 BOMBERS AND YOU WIN.
2. STOP INCOMING ENEMY CAS ATTACKING GROOM, PAHUTE AND BEATTY.
3. IF BLUE GETS AT LEAST 1 BOMBER HOME, AND THE THREE AIR BASES ABOVE, THEY CAN STILL WIN!

BLUE TASKING:
1. ESCORT THE BOMBER GROUPS TO TONOPAH.
2. THE AWACS IS A SPECIAL A/C THAT IS DISABLING ALL OF THE SAM SITES WHILE IN THE ZONE. IF THIS A/C IS NOT PRESENT IN THE ZONE, OR IS SHOT DOWN WHILE IN THE ZONE, THE SAMS WILL COME ONLINE. ALL OF THEM.
3. ONCE RADAR SYSTEMS GO DOWN - RUSSIAN MIG-21'S WILL BE LAUNCHED TO INTERCEPT. STAY ON THE ALERT!
4. CAS A/C CAN TAKE GROOM (WP1), PAHUTE (WP2) AND BEATTY (WP3) BY DESTROYING THEIR GROUND FORCES AND GIVING A FORWARD FOOTHOLD FOR AIRCRAFT TO REARM/REPAIR.
5. IF BLUE GETS AT LEAST 1 BOMBER HOME, AND THE THREE AIR BASES ABOVE, THEY CAN STILL WIN!

Added CAS roles -

CAS a/c can now take Groom, Pahute, and Beatty by destroying enemy ground forces. Once destroyed friendly ground forces will spawn and the base will be yours for rearming / repairing / refueling.

Instead of simply having blue forces spawn in when the ground forces are dead, why not have a group of helo's at Creech performing Air Assault operations on those airfields to capture them? It'll give our helo guys something to do as well.

I think I will leave helo's out of this one. The flight times involved, and the number of helo's required would take away from the primary focus of this particular mission. Which is the bomber escort.

Updated OP again to update the 'win' rules..

RED wins if they get all 3 bombers.

BLUE wins if all 3 bombers get home.

If blue only manages to get 1 bomber home, what do we do? - Well if CAS can take all the bases (groom, pahute and beatty) + the 1 bomber making it home.. blue can still win...so of course if even 1 bomber is shot down you MUST now take the 3 bases in order to win.

Will have to put a timer for how long that stalemate is allowed to go on.. but yeah..

This is becoming complicated..

What about this:
Use scripting to blow up objectives if the AI-controlled bombers won't. If they launch the attack, then it's assumed that objective is completed. Blue CAS can take out targets to make up for lost bombers, but it should be much more time-costly than with the bombers (i.e., the bombers automatically kill like 10 targets with a script, maybe those white weapons bunkers, something you'd need a 2,000 lb bomb to destroy outright). Maybe the winner can be decided on a points-based thing, like each target is worth 100, each bomber is worth 1000. 30 targets x 100 points = 3000 points, 3 bombers x 1000 points = 3000 points. More points at the end of 4 hours or target/bomber elimination decides the winner.

Also, I'd suggest keeping the 3 different bombers' targets in distinct areas to distinguish which bomber will hit them. That way you don't get in a situation where bomber 1 was shot down, bomber 2 is on the way and strikers are working on targets, but they were bomber 2's targets so when bomber 2 hits, their work was totally pointless. At least if we say "bomber 1 hits the targets at X, bomber 2 hits the targets at Y" it'll be their own damn fault for ignoring the briefing like they always do.

Mission updated:

Bombers were using cruise missiles. I've switched them to dumb bombs and ensured that they will fly over the target - release all of their weapons - and then fly home. No loitering or making 2nd and 3rd passes - or flying half way home and turning around and shooting again.. lol

Leaves quite the devastation now at tonopah after they pass over.

Also adjusted the AWACS so they don't leave right away. They 'should' follow the bomber out of the zone instead of leaving on their own after they get to that particular WP.
