Aggressor is the Air Force term. The Navy calls them Adversaries.

Yes the Navy currently has two F-5N Adversary squadrons, VFC-13 at Fallon and VFC-111 in Key West. I have pictures of both squadrons in the photo thread.

F-5's on an aircraft carrier... your life is now complete.

The amount of things you could do by just plopping down an airfield, would add so much diversity to missions. I for one am very excited for this year. All these new aircraft will be incredible fun.

Its a 3rd gen fighter, equivalent to the MiG-21.

In-game, I think it'll be VERY competitive.

Why? Because it has a decent RWR and a kinda-crappy-but-not-completely-so radar. I'm gonna take a guess and say the RWR will have the same exact functionality that y'all are used to in the A-10.

The Mirage (2000C) is more MiG-29/F-16 than F-5/MiG-21/MiG-23.

Oh, also, I hope you guys brought your BFM skills...We're getting two AIM-9B/P3 and a whole lot of guns...And Hydras!

It's better than the MiG-21Bis in a couple of ways. It's tad bit slower but more maneuverable plus it has a better air to ground capability. The Mirage 2kC is a whole generation newer and more capable in the air to air arena than the F-5E but with a skilled pilot it can be a match for it... right now the closest competitor in DCS with the most similar performance is the MiG-21Bis. I do see a lot of poorly flown Eagles and Flankers falling victim to this bird though.

It is a very capable 3rd gen BFM platform... better than the MiG-21Bis in that respect. The MiG was originally designed as an interceptor and as such, is very good at going fast in a straight line. All of its other capabilities are an afterthought. The F-5E was designed to be a "swiss army knife" of a fighter from the get go, capable of more roles than just air to air fighting. It is more maneuverable and has more carefree handling than the MiG. That combined with superior sensors give it the advantage in BFM. The F-5E's only downside is it only carries two AIM-9's so you have to be damn sure you are well within parameters for the shot.
