I was thinking some missions have been played rather extensively. Moapa 3, and Echo Bay come to mind. I thought it might be kind of fun to turn the lights out, literally. Make them night missions. Or create heavy cloud cover, low ceilings. Weather variations in the form of rain would be great too.

Anyway...it could be any night say at 9:00 EDT. But a regular thing all the time.
On another night for example, 99th members can ONLY fly for the Red team.

In either case, it should force us out of our comfort zone, and bone up on other aircraft as well, and mix things up a little bit.

Absolutely in agreement. It is exactly why you now find me Red Side MP, when I'm on, more often than not against horrendous Blue odds, in some totally outclassed F-5E (which I love, I add ).

Can't improve if you don't push yourself, true, though I'm unsure about hitting any ground targets at night in the F-5E. In any case, we've got some aircraft that drop illumination flares, which we used to employ in Blue Flag to good effect. Some extra practice with them, plus the required coordination, wouldn't be bad.

Would also be a cool idea to occasionally throw up a notification on TS or something for a "TODAY F99th FLIES RED ONLY" or something.

I would defiantly be in for that. I love night missions in the KA. I also like the idea of trying to even out teams. I think it has become an issue. I don't understand why people always fly Blue. Especially when they are flying aircraft that are available on both sides. I don't know if its a political thing or if Red means evil and Blue is warm and fuzzy.

I think it's part habitual and partly because of the tendency of our missions having Blue in an offensive posture while Red is defensive.

Night missions are always a game changer and a load of fun. and i am always with Cygon, and on the Red side more often than not.

I think Diplomat Rescue would be fun at night. Working in the city with choppers would be a challenge. Add some additional armored​ convoys roaming the city and the fireworks would be incredible.

Reference black smoke at night. I tried my searchlight to identify color, but is was still black.
