Hey fellas,

Here's a site with some photos from Vietnam, mostly UH-1's but some other interesting photographs also. There's some great reference images as well. My dad is in a few of the pictures, you'll recognize the name...

Also, Charlie the monkey ended up receiving the Purple Heart. My dad's got it in a sweet shadow box with all the bullets and shrapnel he brought home with him. Doc Nose is a cool dude. Glad you liked the pics.

LOL! That's funny! What are the chances he's the only rhesus monkey to ever get a Purple Heart?

My dad told me once that when they filled out the Medical Field Card he put Charlie's rank as Lieutenant Colonel. I believe they were in Phuc Vihn at the time... Charlie's 1380 Anyways, the only LTC in the region came by there hooch one day and wanted to know what the deal was with this other, imposter LTC. He apparently took a liking to Charlie, as he would hang out and eat seeds out of the bags of pot that the guys had. He helped push it through.

LOL! This is priceless! One of the funniest "war stories" I've ever heard, and I'd heard a few good ones from my own dad!

It sheds a whole new light on the "GRAZING IN THE GRASS" part of the form!
