Yeah that's a tough one between AAA or MANPADS.. First two impacts definitely not MANPADS, but the fatal blow in the tail seems a lot bigger and smokier. Maybe it's just because the fuselage served to absorb more of the explosion and it just went completely through the tail boom. Most likely AAA I'd say.

Looking back at it, I think the small explosions might have been it launching rockets

Definitely AAA. I'd say an M1939 most likely. The larger explosion probably had a lot to do with the tail rotor impacting the tailboom of the Mi-35M. Also S-5 and S-8 rockets leave massive smoke trails.

Ahh, yeah definitely saw that rotor flying off of there in a hurry, didn't even occur to me how much energy that thing was carrying. Of course that explains the discrepancy.
