I put the F99th ArmA server up last night with a Tanoa "test mission" to gauge interest.

Tanoa is incredible, can't wait to try this out.

As far as mods are we going vanilla or is it the same pack as before?

I made a few modifications to the mission to suit my preferences:

• * disabled stamina/sway
• * clear weather
• * epinephrine usable by anyone/anywhere

That TanoaTest mission was pretty sparse...

So I'm trying out a different one.

Also, I found where weapon recoil was disabled in our standard mission settings, and took that out.

Btw, for anyone that hasn't purchased Apex yet, Tanoa is well worth it. Jungle warfare is incredible.

Would be worth it if people play it often, i wont pick it up unless people are playing it 3 or 4 days a week. currently saving for another game.

So I guess if you bought the DLC pack way back when thinking you'd get apex like all the other DLC as they came... You'd be wrong.

They still want me to shell out $45 for apex

Well that's poopy about the "DLC Pack".

I can certainly put the Altis mission back up if anyone will play it.

I think they characterize it as an expansion instead of DLC. It definitely has a lot more content than the DLC packs. Tanoa by itself could justify paying $45, but there's also a bunch of new guns, gear, and vehicles and there's also the multiplayer campaign that's pretty great.

NTTR cost about the same when most of us got it, right? If NTTR was worth it Apex should be too.

There's a lot of discussion over on bistudio's forums about what was supposed to be included in the "DLC Bundle", and whether or not it was promised to be some sort of "season's pass". The current description store.steampowered.com/app/304400/ is pretty clear about what's included.

More people play NTTR on a daily basis than arma, i wont be purchasing Arma 3 map, i know it will be fun for most, but i wont have a lot of time for arma is all.

Ah, never paid attention to the bundle back then cause I sure as hell wasn't going to get the Karts DLC. Even Helis was somewhat "take it or leave it." Only one I particularly wanted was Marksmen. Just picked up Helis recently during a Steam sale just because it was so cheap.

I'm not saying anyone needs to go get Apex, I'm saying for the quality and amount of content it has $45 is a perfectly reasonable price to pay. I understand being upset if you thought the bundle would cover it but now you're getting stiffed by BI, but the pricing point of $45 in general is hardly anything to gripe about.

After reinstalling arma and hopping in to tear it, I really want to play again.
