Capture the airfields NTTR #6697
Decided to make a new Capture the Airfield mission.
Goal: Hold Beatty, Groom, Pahute for 1 hr
Ground units will move on Groom and Beatty every 30 mins.
Use Helis and CTLD to capture and hold Pahute.
Bonus spawns (cap and cas) are available at Groom, (no fuel until base cap)
Groom is supplied to both Pahute (weapons) and Beatty(A/C)
TF-51 can be used as a mobile FOB

Version 002.
Limited advanced weapons at inital spawn airfields.
Added Helicopter counterattack event (every 20 mins after Beatty or Groom base capture).
Changed up ground attack units.
Hopefully this file share is less shady

added Version 004 to TS channel
Ver 004 changes
Fixed some errors
Modified CTLD hover time to 5 secs
Staggered some spawns to reduce lag, hopefully
Ver 005 plans
implement my strike package coordinator and Time on Target manager script
Add strategic objectives to affect supply at spawn airfields

Added Version 5 to TS server
Fixed victory conditions, map is now winnable. Added C101 hawk and L39 as AFACs on both sides.
Potential bugs: AFAC script will lock on to friendly ac, will revert when target ac respawns.

Nice work, that was a great mission. If we could maybe have 1 fighter spawn red side, maybe triggered if Pahute is Blue every 40 min or so. That would keep the Cap busy enough with all of the MI24's as well. That's really about it, the briefing was good and I killed all kinds of MI24's.

At least onto Georgian SU-25T's being flown by Cygon_Parrot. I thought I had accidentally switched on countermeasures continuous release when it first started happening, LOL!
Great mission. First time played. Enjoyed participating. Liked! Only thing I noticed is there were no weapons stores at the Beatty for rearming. That said, it is not a big thing, could be left as is, and is actually realistic for a base that has just been over run. Makes you include that factor in your tactical decisions!
And...
I have to apologize beforehand to shadow because, by sheer coincidence, it is a bit similar to the mission I've been working on in ME, at least in terms of the airbases that you have to help ground forces capture. Sorry!

Thought I'd add the screenie of the reception committee at Beatty, after landing there with an engine taken out.

Added Ver 6 to Mission Builders
Added FARP Vehicles (CMD and Fuel) to CTLD
Added Forward FARPs between objective airfields, starts unmanned, need to be supplied with FARP vehicles before they can be used. All forward FARP helis starts with 0 Fuel.
Reduced FOB requirement from 9 to 6
Reduced Hover time from 5 to 3
Reduced crate cooldown from 30 secs to 15 secs
Changed Mission start from 4 to 5 am

I don't understand the point of the observer slot. It makes the choppers sitting ducks. Why is it needed?

yeah, started pulling them out of mine as well just for that reason. The original idea was for the observer to act as an AWACS of sorts. Really not fair to the helo's tho.

I was using it mainly for a debug tool to keep an eye on the various scripts, but will remove them in the next version. Thinking about turning on Fog of War
