SITREP:
Why is this happening!! NO ONE KNOWS!!

RED AND BLUE TASKINGS ARE THE SAME:


** ALL AIRCRAFT ARE TO PROCEED TO BULLS **

HELO Flight - Capture the 8 zones marked with smoke.

CAS FLIGHT - Assist HELO Flight by clearing the 8 zones noted above.

CAP FLIGHT - Assist HELO and CAP flights by keeping the skies over BULLS clear of enemy Helo's, Attack Aircraft and Fighters.

There are now 2 versions of this mission on the server.

One is Mig21's and Mirage 2000's only (the orignal)

and now..

One with F15's, 27's, 29's etc.

File names make it obvious which is which.

Is there any way we can have the Triple A (AAA) added to CTLD on this and or all of the missions? Would be awesome to bring in the German AAA and or the Vulcan!

Hah, I want to hasten to say please don't think I'm copying it!

I've been working on an NTTR scenario for the last few weeks that is only MiG 21 / MiG 15 / MiL-8 on one side and Mirage 2000 / F-86 / UH-1 on the other, which kind of stand in for the aircraft available in the conflict I have in mind. It is as close as I can get to the aircraft of the Six Day War, and the usable weapons are limited. What has been holding me up is the fact I am attempting to make some custom scripts for the ground units, as the scenario also relies quite heavily on ground forces activity and success, as the original conflict did. I keep running into snags making the scripts, as I am vastly unfamiliar with the inner workings of the DCS script engine. LOL!

I might put up a development thread about it soon, where I can ask a few questions about scripting, give some general info on the scenario, and be able to receive comments for improvements.

I've made another version of this mission for COOP playing.

- Removed RED FARP and all units that were near it.
- Removed all RED player A/C - except a few air starts (like moapa and boulder)
- Replaced all static RED ground targets with respawning / moving units.

RED WINS by default!

RED units will spawn, and head for the 8 zones to occupy them. Same rules apply as far as zone ownership is concerned. It won't be a cake walk. Each zone is tied to it's own A.I. CAP - if you turn a zone blue, a new AI CAP (that respawns) will be enabled...

so.. if you own 7 of the 8 zones.. you will have potentially 7 AI enemy cap flying around.. + any players.

Mission is uploaded to the server. Havent' tested it :) - so any problems - post it here or yell at me in TS.

2 runs through this mission tonight.. blue took a beating both times :)

I've reduced the number of red units, and increased their respawn time from 5 mins to 30 mins.

All airfields now belong to blue..

It is. I also moved all red a/c, both AI and client closer to the action, and fixed the mig21 being weaponless.

I was flying the Mi-8 on this map yesterday and discovered that the default rocket load out for the Hip was orange smoke rockets. While being very colorful, it is not very useful on an assault transport helo especially while I was trying to kill a SAM site. I removed the gun pods to save weight as I usually just take rockets if anything at all. I ended up dropping off my RPG troops and a TOW HMMWV to kill it off. Recommend using S-8KOM for the default rocket load out. Hopefully there will be an update for 2.0 on Friday to include the new door gunners for this bird... fingers crossed.

The protected zones of "Remeber the Alamo" - Fly into these areas and loiter for any amount of time will result in a swarm of enemy fighters vectored toward you. This is to prevent spawn camping.
