I think Peggy Sue found the bra. Toolbandit explained it saying aliens and demons are conspiring against him to take his wife for themselves. When she didn't believe him he was compelled to show how strongly he stood by his story by burning down the house. That's not what he told her of course, but he rather borrowed a chapter from the Woman's handbook and said he did it out of his undying love for her -protecting her from the aliens and demons.

The plan fell through because he forgot it was his mom's house.

Poor tool, please make sure he gets hid meds in prison too.
