Been messing around with LGBs and found out if you use ccip mode to drop in lob or high alt, you can get some ridiculous ranges. At 25k+ ft AGL you can hit a target up to 20 NMs as long as you have a steady lase, decreasing about 2-3 NM for every 5k feet. Lobbing from ground level at a 20-40 deg (500 Kt IAS) pitch you can get ~5-6 NMs for gbu12, ~3.5-4 for GBU16. Tested with self lase, hardest part is keeping laser on target for the long weapon flight times. Now gonna work out how to do multi target engagements with 1 pass.

Nah I was trying to figure out time of flights and pickle in intervals that each bomb have enough time and energy to go after a new target.

Found out that the script lasers are much weaker than the one in the TPOD. With AFAC/JTAC, bombs will only track at around 12-13 NM. However you can do a hand off, just lase to about that range, ~about 60 secs at 20 NM, and turn off your laser, it should acquire the AFAC/JTAC lase and engage it.

New findings, you can only get the ridiculous ranges if you self lase,also try to release at or above 500 IAS to maximize the bomb's energy. Buddy lase is limited to about 10-12 NM. Going to work out TOF for laser hand off.

Tested with the A-10C, it also works, granted with the much reduced speed 11 NM is the upper limit on the range you can get out of the LGBs. Also due to the bang bang guidance of the LGBs, sometimes the corrections will cause the LGB to lose the lase and go wildly off course, happens more often on the >8 NM shots.

New finding, if 2 AV-8s fly in relatively close formation, when one ac lases, the both ac bombs will track the laser. May need to try with formation with an A-10.
