I'll get you guys links to some of the mods after testing them and making sure they work. Are we able to host servers?

Also if anyone is interested I have Rfactor and it's got loads of mods for drift cars. It's not as great looking as AC but I do find its a bit more realistic in some aspects. I have it backed up onto my External drive and it's somewhere around 20GB if I recall.

OK, Forget it. Something is broken with the AC server setup since the last update, it is all screwed up again, and needs working on from the ground up. And I'm not doing it, sorry. Getting just a bit sick of how these updates keep doing that to everything.

No worries Cygon! Will let you know shortly, tried to update my Fanatec CSR wheel's firmware and it didn't work. Now it won't turn on haha. I've pooched something! Messaged support to see if they can send me firmware that will actually work.

We can always hop into another server. I always see at least 2 drifting servers up. Im not sure about the ping tho.

This being true, G-Man. I was just wondering if Nick had asked because he had some content or required a particular car that might not have been available on the public servers.

I've dropped a query on the AC forum. It appears to be some issue with content update since the last core update. Even though it doesn't write anything to the error log, the execution in the CLI distinctly states that it can't find so-and-so car, and such. Tried everything I know short of uninstalling the dedicated server and starting from scratch. Waiting for a reply. It might get to that.

PS: Apologies for my patience running out last night. It is quite a rare occurrence for me.

Yaaasss! Wheel works again. Skids can continue! i'm sure we can set up our own server or i'll ask some of the dudes in the drift community about decent servers.

And no one else seems to know much, either. Shame, it worked really well before, but Kunos have poked around with the dedicated server package and done something, by the looks of it. It now tries to look for setup.ini files, which requires an extra line (put manually, per car) in the cars entry configuration file, but it gets autodeleted when you fire up the server. It did not do all this before. The idea behind this file (apparently) is to optionally "fix" the settings of cars so players can't play around with suspension, tire pressures, etcetera (it is a bit of an idiotic exercise for a race game, don't you think? It is what it's all about, kri'sek).

Those who have found the walkaround and got servers up are not telling...

No worries man! I'll talk to some guys and see what servers are usually used, I have a link to give you both for some cool tracks and cars. One of which is in the video below (same car I own IRL basically hah). There's a few more I think are worth getting, SP mod being one.
